Many companies talk recycle — We live it!
We have been recycling our waste paper since 1984 – long before it was a cool "catch phrase". Why? Because we knew then, as we do now, that it is the right thing to do.
In 1984, we installed a mechanical system to catch and bale all the waste at our presses and collators.
In 1998, we installed a 5 ton compactor to capture the waste from our Sanden UV Web press.
In 2008 we installed an additional paper bailer to capture the waste from our constantly improving commercial printing processes.
Paper Recycling
We recycle 56 tons of paper per month! That translates to 1,344,000 pounds of paper per year that stays out of our landfill — the equivalent of 34 FULL semi trailers.
Aluminum Recycling
We recycle 100% of the aluminum used in our production processes, and all of the cans of soda our employees drink.
In 2008, we recycled 18,000 pounds!
The owners of Alexander Clark Printing have always felt the importance of being environmentally responsible. Robert Alexander and Jim Clark started the business in 1972 that way, and our 60 employees owners continue that responsibility today.
